Vijay Palanna - Managing Director

Vijay has over 15 years of experience in the Indian Market Research industry and one of the leaders in the field within south India. Vijay has worked at many of the leading Market Research agencies in India including ORG - MARG and Icon Added Value. Vijay has great abilities within the entire Market Research domain, right from client relationship management and research designs, to data collection, data processing and business interpretations of analysis data. He is considered one of the best in India when it comes to making practical data driven interpretations using sparse market data. Vijay has managed large multi location projects and also handled diverse clients across multiple sectors. Vijay holds a Masters Degree in Arts from Bangalore University and has completed various advanced courses in the field of Business and Marketing.

Andrey Osiatynski, Vice President Customer Service

Andrey is one of America’s leading market researchers with 30 years of experience in marketing and advertising research and consulting. He started his market research career as Partner at Information Psykolog AB in Stockholm while teaching Cognitive Psychology and Test Theory at the University of Stockholm. In the US, he was one of the pioneers of Account Planning – first at Ogilvy in New York and then at Meldrum & Fewsmith in Cleveland. During the last few years Andrey has developed and introduced to the American customers several new research techniques including: Online Qualitative Concept Development, Online Ethnography and Quant-Qual-Combos.

Andrey's research experience in Europe and North America spans a range of products & services, including: Automotive, Air travel, Banking and other financial services, Beverages, CPG, Industrial, Non-profit, Pharmaceutical, Retail and other areas. Beside English, he is fluent in Swedish, Polish and Russian.

He is based out of our Texas office where he currently spends a lot of his innovation calories developing KPO concepts outsourcing analytical back office tasks to India in order to develop affordable alternatives for large-sample (50-200 respondents) and rich-data (Online and in-person Ethnographies) Qualitative Research services.

Kiran Cheranda, Vice President Sales and Marketing

Kiran Cheranda has 20 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Engineering and Information Technology. Kiran brings in a very strong background in market positioning and operations alignment consulting. Being a Business Owner, has a hands on experience in Sales and Marketing in a changing economic environment with key objective to provide exceptional Customer Satisfaction.

Kiran has a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A & M University and Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has a natural ability for delivering on goals. He has a proven track record of getting results with the primary objective of improving quality, reduce cost, enhance business speed and increase productivity. He has worked for 8 years for Toyota Financial Services and was a key architect for consolidating nationwide customer sales and service branches into 3 centralized regions, saving the company millions of dollars. Also, he has worked as a Project Engineer in Refineries, Power plants, Chemical and Fertilizer industry. He has also Served on the Franchise Advisory Board Committee of a large food chain for 3 years at the corporate decision making process for Product, Sales and Marketing.

Dr. Rajkumar (Raj) Palanna – Investor Partner

Raj has experience of 15 years at global Fortune 500 companies. He has worked in the Insurance, Retail Banking, Investment Banking, Leasing Services, Mortgage, Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Medical Insurance, Service, Textile and other business domains. In his career he has held various leadership roles including Senior Director, Director, Manager, Consultant and Program Manager. He has multilingual skills, with working knowledge in five different languages. Raj is a Visionary strategic thinker with a Ph.D., MBA & MS. He has the unique ability to combine advanced concepts and practical reality. He has worked with many CEOs and their direct reports at leading corporations. He is considered one of the best in class for applied statistical analysis and interpretation. He has a good track record of achieving multi-million dollar cost savings in company operations. He has extensive knowledge and experience in globalization of businesses. Raj has been a visiting faculty at top universities including University of Southern California & Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Satish Bukkapatnam – Advisory Board

Professor Satish Bukkapatnam guides eMpulse develop the fundamental analytics product offering framework, so that we are best in class. He is currently professor at Oklahoma State University (www.okstate.edu/commsens) based in Still Water, Oklahoma. He is considered one of the best in the country for developing innovative analytics models to fit various difficult business scenarios. Before joining OSU, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California Los Angeles. He has also worked as a consultant at the Naval Research Lab, Washington DC.

His research in Sensor-based Modelling is a fundamentally new approach to solve complex business problems. The core of this research is to harness information on the nonlinear and stochastic dynamics of processes buried in, and the resulting behaviours including chaos, self-organization and long-range dependencies observed in business, and to track features extracted from these models to monitor and control actions that maximize profits. His research thus far has yielded 85 publications in peer-reviewed journals and refereed conference proceedings. This research has been the basis for 6 PhDs. His project sponsors include The National Science Foundation, Federal Aviation Authority, Caltrans, Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Naval Research Lab, Office of Naval Research and other agencies as well as industries including General Motors, Honeywell, Hewlett Packard and National Instruments.
